AceStep Music Generation Guide

AceStep Music Generation Guide

This guide explains how to use the AceStep music generator UI, including One-Click mode and Custom mode. It also includes practical tips for better results.

Overview

AceStep offers two creation flows:

  • One-Click Mode: fast idea-to-music with minimal inputs.
  • Custom Mode: detailed control over styles, lyrics, and advanced settings.

The UI supports a tags-based workflow, plus optional lyrics and vocal settings.

One-Click Mode

One-Click is designed for speed. You describe the song, pick a few options, then generate.

Describe Your Song

  • Text area: Write a short description of the song you want (mood, genre, instruments, scene).
  • Typed placeholder: Example prompts cycle automatically; you can follow the style.
  • Quick presets: Click a preset badge to auto-fill a sample prompt.

Instrumental (No Vocals)

  • Switch: If enabled, the output is instrumental only (no vocals).

Vocal Type

  • Buttons: Male Vocal, Female Vocal, Male/Female Duet.
  • If Instrumental is on, vocal options are disabled.

Studio Quality

  • Switch: Enables higher-quality generation (requires subscription).

Duration

  • Badges: 15s, 30s, 60s, 120s, 240s.
  • 120s and longer requires login.
  • 240s requires a subscription.

Generate

  • Generate Song button: Starts the job.
  • Progress bar: Shows current generation progress.

Custom Mode

Custom mode provides fine-grained controls for style tags, lyrics, and advanced settings.

Styles (Tags)

  • Tabs: Genre, Vibes, Instruments, Vocal.
  • Tags: Click to add or remove tags (max 120 characters).
  • Vocal tab tags: Selecting Male/Female/Duet adds the matching vocal tag and keeps vocal selection in sync.

Lyrics

  • Text area: Write full lyrics or sectioned lyrics.
  • Structure tags: Use markers like [verse], [chorus], [bridge] to shape sections and transitions.
  • Instrumental cues: Add tags like [instrumental], [guitar solo], [drum break] to guide arrangement.
  • Vocal texture: Add hints like [breathy], [raspy], [soft], [powerful] to influence delivery.
  • Energy changes: Describe shifts like "build up", "drop", or "fade out" inside section tags.
  • Keep it consistent: Avoid conflicting directions in the same section; make changes across sections instead.

Instrumental and Studio Quality

  • Instrumental switch: Removes vocals from the output.
  • Studio Quality switch: Enables higher-quality generation (requires subscription).

AI Generate (Lyrics)

  • Button: Opens the lyrics generator.
  • Theme input: Provide a theme; the system generates lyrics and inserts them into the Lyrics field.

Duration (Slider)

  • Slider: Set the duration in seconds.
  • Random option: If the UI shows Random, it generates a duration between 30s and 240s.

Best Practices

  • Be specific: Combine style, mood, instruments, and vocal hints in your prompt.
  • Start simple, then iterate: Generate quickly in One-Click, then refine in Custom mode.
  • Use tags strategically: Add 3-8 core tags, then small refinements.
  • Avoid conflicts: Do not mix strongly conflicting styles unless you want experimental results.
  • Use structure tags in lyrics: [verse], [chorus], [bridge] help the model follow a clear song form.
  • Keep tags under 120 characters: Long tag lists are truncated or blocked.
  • Try multiple takes: Small changes in tags or lyrics can yield very different results.

Output and Playback

  • Generated tracks appear in the results list below the generator.
  • You can play, seek, and download tracks.
  • Signed-out users may see preview limits; full playback is available after login.
